High Grade Long Staple Fibres

People always forget that every item of clothing is the sum of its parts. If it’s made of low grade poor quality materials, it won’t last. If it’s created using high grade long staple fibres, it has a much better chance of survival. All of our knitwear is created from extra long staple cashmere and lambswool.

Owning a piece of quality clothing is like owning a nice pair of leather shoes. They need care and attention, otherwise they won’t look as good as they could.

“I started Sims Wear after a jumper I had purchased fell apart within 8 months. I’d spent a fair amount of money on that jumper, so unsurprisingly I was quite upset when the holes appeared under the arms. I then spent the next year obsessing about what it is that separates high quality knitwear from everything else. After much research, I found the answer: you need the best grade raw fibre, you need a spinner who understands how not to damage that fibre, and you need a knitter that understands the yarn. When all three of those line up, you get a Sims Wear jumper.”
