The inspiration for the Fleetwood Cardigan fairisle is taken from the landscape of the Northern Uplands - a layered vista of hills and fells, drystone walls, ancient weather-worn trees and source springs trickling down through heather and rock.
The Fleetwood Cardigan has raglan shoulders, a slightly tailored cuff and ribbed hem and cuffs.
Proudly made from soil to skin in the UK, the Fleetwood Cardigan is made from Herd's very own traceable soft Bluefaced Leicester sheep wool, which they source themselves at a fair price from farmers in N.W. England, and make into yarn within 150 miles of the farms.
They either blend the yarn to make natural shades, or dye using plant extracts and naturally occurring mordants. The buttons are made from nuts, the labels are 100% cotton, so your knit is fully circular.
