Meet the Founder

You find yourself here because 12 months ago I was in bed, with Covid, reading Esha Chhabra's book 'Working to Restore: Harnessing the Power of Regenerative Business to Heal the World'. A US journalist, Chhabra wrote a series of essays about such brands as Patagonia, Citizens of Humanity, Veja as well as highlighting the growing momentum behind regenerative farming (if you've heard of the Wild Farmed brand you'll know what I'm referring to). She shared proof of how approaching business differently, could still result in profit but also a far greater sense of purpose and equality across the supply chain. It was about doing things better, more fairly, from the ground up. 'Eureka!' I reached from my bed, for a notebook (always sleep with a notebook by your bed). I told myself 'If I can trademark the name 'FAIRGROUND', I'll give this business a go. So here we are. Welcome to The FairGround, I hope you enjoy the ride. And Esha, thank you. Thank you for feeding my brain when I felt my lowest, and for planting the seed of a whole new chapter.
