Herd’s iconic first collection is the Wyre, designed with longevity and the fullness of seasons in mind. Layering pieces to be worn together or apart, in our unique pointelle bud and vine stitch is both light and warm.
The Wyre Vest has scalloped edges and fits just above/on the natural waistline.
Proudly made from soil to skin in the UK, the Wyre Vest is made from Herd's very own traceable soft Bluefaced Leicester sheep wool, which they source themselves at a fair price from farmers in N.W. England, and make into yarn within 150 miles of the farms.
They either blend the yarn to make natural shades, or dye using plant extracts and naturally occurring mordants. The buttons are made from nuts, the labels are 100% cotton, so your knit is fully circular.
